A warm, comfortable rug to curl up on a cold evening, by courtesy of the shopkeeper. The spirit of the season! :)
Ahhh a kind and thoughtful soul...They do look quite attached to those rugs :D Must feel like luxury if they've been sleeping rough on cold pavements...
The dogs sitting outside our shops at Christmas time ( and indeed at other times )usually have a person attached to them and a cap or tub in the hope some good spirited people will drop them some coins or some juicy titbit.
Dogs here aren't allowed to sit around ownerless and homeless, but they are allowed to sit with a homeless owner, if that makes any sense.
I'd rather give something to such people that the dog can eat, but they can't. ;)
