To Hang Till...

  1. They make colourful decorations! :)
I was wondering if they're hanging there waiting for someone to buy them, or hanging there as part of some festival?

As a child I used to collect dolls in national costumes from around the world ( even though I hadn't actually travelled to the countries ) :)

  2. Those are puppets actually, made mostly by puppet-makers in the Indian state of Rajasthan.

Since children have mostly taken to more 'high-tech' forms of amusement nowadays, the art is dying, except for the few that are sold for the purpose of decoration.

This was at a handicraft fair near where I live.

  3. I love fairs! And hand-made art! And any combination between the two of them.

Also, I would like to see more photos of an this Indian fair. Did you take any close-up photos of the hand-made products?

  4. I didn't shoot too many this time, but I'll share an album from a previous year's fair with you.
